Product

Baobab fruit pulp is available in the following formats:

  • Natural powder: a milled and sifted, free-flowing light colored powder.  Non-water soluble.
  • De-pectinised extract: a free-flowing depectinised powder, water-soluble and clear in solution.

Potential Applications
Baobab fruit can be used in product formulation to provide nutritional fortification, flavour enhancement, viscosity and texture modification and as a source of dietary fibre and nutrients. Specific applications could include:

  • Soft drinks and beverages
  •  Natural fruit smoothies
  •  Fruit fillings, jams, sauces, desserts and baking products
  •  Snack bars, breakfast cereals, cookies and snacks
  • Health supplements, botanical extracts including antioxidants
  •  Various active cosmetic uses, including antioxidants for anti-aging, skin tightening, moisturizers, and hair and nail strengthening products.
